1
Eye Exam
Eyes are fickle things. Vision can fluctuate, even throughout the day, depending on health status (i.e., your eyeglass prescription might be affected if it's measured after a stressful day or while you're pregnant). At East Bay Optometry, you'll learn how YOUR vision functions and ways to optimize it with doctor prescribed eyewear and contacts.

Eyewear Fitting
When it comes to eyewear, a great fit is essential for both comfort and optimal vision.
The frame should feel comfortable on your face and not cause any pressure points. The temples should rest lightly on your ears without squeezing them. The bridge of the frame should fit snugly on your nose without pinching it. The lenses should be positioned correctly in front of your eyes. This means they should be centered and not too close or too far from your face. Additionally, the height of the lenses should be appropriate for your prescription and the shape of your face. The frame should be in proportion to your facial features and personal style. A frame that is too large or too small can look unbalanced and detract from your appearance.

Contact Lens Prescription
A comprehensive contact lens fitting service is meant to ensure that our patients have the most comfortable and optimal visual experience with their contact lenses. We focus on fitting contact lenses that are customized to each individual's unique eye shape, size, and prescription. When selecting a contact lens we consider comfort, clear and stable vision, centration, proper movement, and adequate tear exchange to minimize the risk of any discomfort, vision problems, or eye health issues associated with contact lens use.
